Joanne & Aleck's Slayley Hall Wedding by Camera A Wedding Photography

Joanne and Aleck were married at Slaley Hall on Easter Sunday 8th April 2012. Slaley Hall is a stunning Edwardian mansion set in 1000 acres of the Northumberland moorland. It provides old world grandeur with a modern twist and there is a photographic opportunity around every corner!

Having photographed Joanne's sister's weddings, Joanne knew that she wanted Camera A to capture her big day from the beginning. She looked absolutely stunning and elegant, with her make-up done by her sister Alison Petitjean, a professional make-up artist who often does our studio makeovers.

Joanne and Aleck were thrilled with their photographs and we can't wait to find out which they have chosen for their wedding book.

Camera A Wedding Photography at the Civil Partnership of Jenny & Lynne

Jenny and Lynne were married at Rookery Hall at Nantwich, Cheshire on 1st April 2012. The girls wanted a caring, female touch on their big day and were thrilled that we travel around the country and don't just cover North East venues.

There was a really fun, party atmosphere throughout the whole day and Jenny and Lynne were a pleasure to photograph.

Hannah and Gary were married on 1st April 2012 at St. Edwin's Church, High Coniscliffe and had their reception at Headlam Hall Hotel. The sun certainly had it's hat on that day, amazing for the time of year!

Ann arrived at Headlam Hall to meet Hannah just as her and her bridesmaids were getting the finishing touches done to their make-up. Their make-up artist was Alison Petitjean who also does a lot of our studio makeovers. She always does such a fantastic job of making her clients look amazing so we never hesitate in recommending her to our brides! Hannah was really giggly and happy, if she was nervous she didn't show it at all! She looked stunning in her dress from Brides of Harrogate and headdress from Grace of Darlington and her family looked on with huge smiles on their faces as the finishing touches were made. The bridesmaids wore a beautiful royal blue which blended very well with the colours in the tartan kilts that the men wore.

When we arrived at St. Edwin's we were thrilled to see how beautiful it looked with blossom on the trees and daffodils in full bloom, it looked like a picture postcard! Even the chickens came out to admire the scene! Gary and his groomsmen looked fantastic in their traditional scottish kilts and thistle button holes and were very laid back and relaxed. The service was lovely and both Hannah and Gary grinned throughout. They then led their guests out accompanied by piper, Brian Robinson and arrived in style at Headlam Hall with Elite Wedding Cars.

Headlam Hall, a beautiful 17th century mansion near Darlington, looked stunning in the sunshine! It is a favourite venue of ours with gorgeous grounds and a photographic opportunity around every corner. Guests were entertained by magician, Paul Lytton and caricarturist Paul Slattery who made the day really fun and put a smile on every face. Hannah was amazed when Paul Lytton swapped a card that she had put in her mouth with the one that was in his own just by dancing with her!

The happy couple had a wonderful night and honeymoon in the Maldives and were thrilled with their photographs when they saw them for the first time last week.

Michelle & Peter's Wynyard Hall Wedding

Michelle & Peter were married on 11th February 2012 at Wynyard Hall. It was a bitterly cold day with a scattering of snow on the ground but thankfully Wynyard Hall has beautiful architecture and high ceilings inside for all the guests to admire and for wonderful photographic opportunities!

We began the day by meeting Michelle, her bridesmaids and her close family at Michelle's parents house in the nearby village of Wynyard. We were immediately delighted by the fantastic staircase which made the perfect place to photograph the beautiful bride! Michelle wore a lovely ivory dress with beading detail and headdress both from Heart of Durham which were complimented beautifully by a bouquet of white orchids by Adam Prest. Michelle's bridesmaids wore navy blue dresses again from Heart of Durham and had bouquets of cream roses, again by Adam Prest.

On arrival at Wynyard Hall we met Peter, his best man and ushers who looked very smart in their suits from Greenwoods and cream rose button holes to match the bridesmaid's bouquets. We used the fantastic pillars at the front of Wynyard Hall to add a wow factor to the photographs of 'the boys'!

There was a surprise for Michelle as her parents had hired a horse-drawn carriage from North East Carriage Company to take her to Wynyard Hall and she was absolutely thrilled! Michelle's Mum and bridesmaids also arrived in style with Lovedub cars who are always a pleasure to work with.

The service took place in Wynyard Chapel which is absolutely beautiful and we got some really fun shots afterwards when everyone gathered to throw confetti on the happy couple!

After the service we photographed Michelle and Peter with the horses and carriage and we added to the cold, crisp feel of the photographs afterwards using effects on Photoshop which also turned a scattering of snow into a few inches! Again the pillars provided a wonderful background to the photographs.

During the drinks reception guests were entertained by Pocket Orchestra and enjoyed looking around the beautiful hall. The room looked gorgeous, as usual, and Michelle and Peter had a wonderful cake by Kelly Ann Cakes.

Michelle and Peter had a wonderful honeymoon in St.Lucia and came back looking very brown indeed! They loved their photographs and we can't wait to see what they choose for their album!
